Delta Air Lines recently announced new Basic fare options for Delta First, Delta Premium Select, and Delta One. The Basic fare option for Delta One will be known as Basic Business. These new Basic fares are currently bookable for travel in very select markets.
Delta stated that “These new options are built to expand choice within our premium products while allowing you to maintain control over how they fit into your travel program.”
Basic fares in Delta First, Delta Premium Select, and Delta One offer the premium onboard experience, with some limitations:
- Seats assigned after check-in
- Reduced checked bag allowance (varies by market)
- Lower mileage earn
- No Complimentary or paid upgrades
- No same-day confirmed or same-day standby travel changes
- Changes or cancellations for a fee (receive an eCredit)
